ONE DAY FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN RECRUITMENT

Artificial Intelligence is one concept that everyone managing the helm of affairs in their organization is aware about. Recruitment is constantly in the mind of every manager. Every recruiter will state, that perhaps the hardest part of their job is shortlisting suitable candidates. With respect to this, Seshadripuram Institute of Management Studies in association National Institute of Personnel Management and MHRD’s Innovation Cell organized a webinar on 24th June 2020 which was piloted by Mr. Avinash S G, HR and Admin at Wuerth Elektronik India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Avinash explained to the participants the history of Artificial Intelligence and the need for AI. He threw light on the use of Artificial Intelligence in various areas of HR and Recruitment such as Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, etc. He also provided some channels that can be used for Job Hunting and the tips which shall be useful for Job Hunting. Mr Avinash hosted a very interactive Q&A session at the end of the webinar where he answered the numerous questions that were asked by the participants during the course of the webinar. Overall, the webinar was received well by all the participants who reverted with a positive feedback post the session.

Events Organized

Seshadripuram Institute of Management Studies in association with ISET ILAB Incubator Foundation and Infopace Management Services Pvt Ltd hosted a stake holder meeting in the campus on 30th May 2019. The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the incubation of three projects which are being kick-started by Rotary (District 3190). The projects in line include one on Mushroom Cultivation, Eco-friendly Sanitary Napkins and Farm Productivity Enhancement Project.

The projects were explained to the members in attendance by Dr. Radhakrishnan, a senior Rotarian and Project Lead who managed to give interesting insights on the benefits that the projects carry to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the society. All members in attendance which included faculty from Seshadripuram Institute of Management Studies as well as Managers, Incubators and Scientists from organizations like IISc, Himalaya, etc expressed their views on the projects and brainstormed the measures that need to be adopted in order to shape them into successful ventures.

The meeting proved to be a great start for what promises to be the genesis of an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem that is going to open massive opportunities for management students and other stake holders in order to harness their leadership and team-playing skills.
